I'm on vacation in the Keys, and I'm renting a Harley while I'm here. Not a Harley fan, but it's all that's available around here. I'm picking it up in Homestead and riding out to Key West. If I can sleep tonight, I'll be dreaming of a wide open US-1 and a wide open throttle. On a side note, my rental car is a new Kia Sportage, and I must say, it's kinda nice for what it is.

Ummmmm... Unless things have changed in the past few years, there are 35mph sections and too much traffic for much spirited riding - so much so that I swore to never drive down to KW again...
But, dood - enjoy the ride. The scenery is amazing.

You're right, the speed limits and traffic are a pain through that section (I've done it before) but on a Harley its all about riding low and slow, and enjoying the view. I'll post some pics of the ride
